No Affiliate or Referral Links
This site does not currently use affiliate links or referral links. An affiliate link is a web address containing a tracking code that pays the publisher a commission when a reader signs up or buys through it. None of the links on this site work that way, and we do not receive commission from any company mentioned on it.
Until September 2026 a small number of pages did carry affiliate links. They were all removed when the site was refocused on financial calculators and financial education. If you ever find a link here that looks like a tracked or paid link, please tell us so we can check and correct it.
How the Site Is Funded
The site is supported by advertising. Ads are served by Google AdSense and are labelled by Google as advertising. We do not choose which individual ads appear, and advertisers have no say over what we write. How advertising uses cookies, and how to control that, is explained in our privacy policy.
What This Means for What We Publish
- No provider pays to be mentioned, described in a particular way, or left out.
- We do not rank or recommend providers. Our guides explain financial concepts with worked examples; where a provider is mentioned, it is to illustrate a point, not to promote it.
- Our calculators are free and run entirely in your browser. There is no paid tier.
- We do not claim to be free of all bias. Our guides are desk research based on published material, which has limits of its own — our about page sets out that method and what it cannot verify.
